Plaster Shisa-making

The origin of Shisa! Create a Shisa with Okinawa plaster and Ryukyu roof tile fragments.

Plaster shisas take around 2 weeks to ship.

Plaster shisa-making is a traditional technique continuing for hundreds of years since it arrived from the Asian continent, passed down by Ryukyu roof tile artisans.
The plaster is made from Okinawa coral fragments (quicklime), Okinawan clay, and water. It can be said it is a craft cultivated by Okinawa's natural and cultural features, simple yet exquisite, born from a close connection with people's lives.

※After your completed work arrives, you can add finishing touches by making it colorful by decorating it with paint.
